On February 6, 2016 the first of 29 nursing students from Valley Baptist Medical Center LVN School came to Aurora House for community service. They spent four hours with the caregivers where they observed the care provided to the patients residing here at the Aurora House. Four students at a time will rotate during the next few months. They are under the supervision of the RN Education Coordinator.

Aurora House Education Center continues the hospice rotation for STC AND nursing students. Dr. Rafael Rodriguez, MD, FACP is the founder of the Aurora House as well as the education center. He continues to provide education that was developed with Chelan Williams, MSN,FNP-BC, faculty member of the Associate Degree Nursing Program at South Texas College.
