Annual Luncheon Fun for All

Annual Luncheon Fun for All

Sep 12, 2016 | News |

“Run for the Roses”

The Aurora House Administrative Professionals’ Day Luncheon was held on April 27, 2016 at the Knapp Conference Center. Celebrating the 142nd running of the Kentucky Derby “the greatest two minutes in sports”, guests were treated to delicious southern fare, beautiful fashions and a memorable afternoon.

The event included a catered lunch-eon by Chef Roberto Torres; a Spring Style Show by Lionel’s Western Wear and Wells of Weslaco; a great Silent Auction; and fabulous door prizes. Beautifully adorned Derby-styled hats were everywhere.

This is a major fundraiser for Aurora House and all sponsorships and donations are always so important since Aurora House does not receive any government funding. It relies solely on the generosity of our Mid-Valley community.

Committee Chairs included:

Chair: Kathy Scheuerman

Catering: Melanie Riley

Desserts: Mitty Reyna

Silent Auction: Melissa Beckwith

Style Show: Esperanza Garza

Tickets/Program: Yolanda Salinas

Table Signs: Diana Gonzalez
