Aurora House Foundation, Weslaco, Texas on Saturday, February 25, 2023, in partnership with Knapp Medical Center, and funded by Knapp Community Care Foundation, will be hosting the 2nd Annual Mid-Valley Health and Wellness Fair from 10:00am-2:00pm at Knapp Medical Conference Center- 1401 E. 8th St. Weslaco, Texas. The event will feature over 30+ organizations from around the RGV like Knapp Medical Center, STC Nursing and Allied Health, Hidalgo County Health Department, Food Bank of the Rio Grande Valley, Community Action Corporation of South Texas, MHP Salud, Nutrition Prescription, and many more offering a variety of FREE health screenings, education materials, and lifestyle information.
We know our community is excited to return to community activities after COVID, and hope for a successful event filled with people from all over the RGV’, Aurora House Director, Marisela Gonzalez. In caring for dying patients, Aurora House sees the ravages and pain that result from a lifetime of diseases like diabetes and heart disease, this event is designed to help promote the prevention of mental and physical diseases by connecting our community with services available to promote a healthy lifestyle. Our hope is that the Mid-Valley Health & Wellness Fair will provide access to preventative education and services. There is still space for health and wellness related nonprofits to help promote healthy living by FREE screenings and informational materials.
